Boise Golf Show:
February 5th and 6th the staff manned the booth at this year's version at Idaho Expo. With the change in location we saw an increase in participants and therefore greater exposure for Buffalo Peak. We thank all of our old friends and the new ones too for stopping... we hope you will come visit as the weather warms.
Buffalo Peak would like to congratulate Bobbie Kay Downend in being drawn to win the grand prize...
Corporate Passes:
This is again the time of the year that Corporate passes are available... An advantage this year to all who participate will be the opportunity for buffalopeakgolf to link to your web site under the heading of Corporate Sponsors... Bill will be knocking on your doors very soon to gauge your interest.
Click here or call 541-963-1001 if he doesn't call on you soon enough.
Golf Course Maintenance:
The past couple years the golf course staff have identified an alarming amount of "localized dry spots" and excess thatch build up on the greens. As many of you are aware the staff became very pro-active in 2009 to try to eliminate the main reason for the problems. A program was developed that included aerating and top dressing (sanding) at a more aggressive level. Progress was made, but to solve the dilemma more work must be done. Buffalo Peak was fortunate to find and purchase a Verti Drain machine that not only is capable of more depth during aeration but also disrupts the soil below the surface to allow water, sand and the root system to grow deeper. The staff has high hopes that this machine may be of great benefit, especially due the to the fact that there is less disturbance on the surface, and recovery time should be faster. Please understand, the staff is in the business to give you the best golf experience possible and will do everything they can to keep disruptions to a minimum and recovery time as quick as can be.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation. Please do not hesitate to ask Rich, Scott or Bill questions.
